05/07/2002 – HASSELT, Belgium TDS automotive is proud to announce that the TDS 'Tier Zero' plant in Genk, Belgium has reached the pinnacle of automotive quality standards. This facility successfully passed the qualifying ISO TS 16949 audit on April 30th, 2002; and has been recommended for certification by Lloyds. The ISO TS 16949 is considered the 'leading edge' automotive quality standard, combining and superseding existing standards such as QS9000, VDA 6.1, etc. Attaining this certification further supports TDS automotive's position as a global leader in premium automotive logistics services. Given that only 1500 ISO TS certifications have been awarded worldwide, this represents less than 5% of all potential certifications. TDS automotive is one of only four companies in Belgium to be certified to this standard.
