05/06/2003 – WINDSOR, Ontario, Canada TDS automotive was proud to be honoured recently by Chrysler Corporation with an award for service excellence. In a ceremony May 5th at its Windsor facility, TDS automotive was presented a plaque by DCX Director, Steven Brostek, acknowledging the Chrysler Group Supply Organization’s appreciation for “outstanding performance and total commitment in support of the Windsor Assembly Complex”. The text engraved on the plaque reads, “’For Outstanding Performance and Total Commitment in Support of the Windsor Assembly Complex’ In 2002, TDS accomplished the swift completion and start-up of the new ILC facility, implementation of all DCX required systems, proactive cost and process controls, implementation of enhancements to returnable container process, reduction in OBT, impeccable record keeping and outstanding housekeeping. With sincere appreciation for a job well-done. DCX Chrysler Group Supply Organization.” In addition to this Integrated Logistics Centre, launched in July 2002, TDS automotive recently assumed responsibility for a 50,000 sq.ft. temporary satellite operation in Windsor, handling additional bulk material in support of Chrysler launching the new Pacifica.
