TDS awarded BMW 3 Series trim parts to China Print E-mail
10/25/2006

10/25/2006 – Regensburg, Germany:

As an established competence centre for BMW Worldwide, handling the entire body metal parts supply for all export markets, TDS took over BMW’s part-by-part supply service to South Africa earlier this year.

This month TDS was awarded another contract of a similar size. Under the terms of this new contract TDS will assume responsibility for packing and shipping to China all small and trim parts for the current BMW 3 Series.

To accommodate the increased scope of service a second facility will be required at Regensburg.  Fade in ramp-up in the new facility will start in December 2006 until April 2007; handling up to 130.000 cbm (4,600,000 cuft) per year.

With the new facility TDS Regensburg now has an overall size of 53.000 sqm (570,000 sqft) and will handle up to 720.000 cbm (25,000,000 cuft) of BMW parts in 2007.
