TDS logistics & Walsh Western International Announce Merger Print E-mail

02/05/2007 – Atlanta, GA, USA:

TDS logistics and Walsh Western International today announced that the two companies have signed a definitive merger agreement. The name of the merged company will be disclosed in the coming weeks. The merged company will be a leading global provider of supply chain solutions for the automotive industry, as well as the technology sector.

Michael Enright, Chairman of Walsh Western International, states, “From the start, the cultural fit of WWI and TDS was excellent and both organizations are aligned in terms of customer focus, delivery and results.”

TDS President & CEO, Jos Opdeweegh, comments, “As a combined entity we are committed to further enhancing our global logistics service offerings to existing, as well as new customers.”  The merger will leverage the strengths of both organizations and provides a compelling platform from which to deliver world-class logistics solutions.

Moving forward the merged company will have a total of 54 facilities operating across North and South America, Europe and Asia; employing more than 9,000 people globally.

Jos Opdeweegh, President & CEO of TDS logistics, will assume leadership responsibility for the overall management of the merged global company.
