New contracts for TDS Brussels Print E-mail
06/08/2007

06/08/2007 – Brussels, Belgium:

This week TDS Brussels has been awarded two new contracts from Audi AG.

Following the summer plant shut down TDS Brussels will begin sequencing door modules and mirrors for the Audi A3.  The second award, currently in the launch process, consists of a ‘market place’ service including kitting, performing small sub-assemblies and picking of several parts for standard and kanban delivery.  Both of these new contracts will be serviced within the new supplier park beside Audi’s Brussels assembly plant.

“After a very challenging period with VW here in Brussels, these two awards are a major step forward in growing our business with Audi as the new owner of this former Forest plant”, stated Andreas Neumeister, TDS Senior Business Development Manager-VW Group. “Based on the strong performance and exceptional quality we will provide to our customer we plan to use this opportunity to create an even bigger footprint for TDS within the supplier park in the near future.”

TDS Brussels will move its existing business in August.  Current sub-assembly, sequencing and inbound delivery of rear axles and corner modules, as well as sequencing of board books, will transition from the current location in Lot, directly into the Audi assembly plant. This significant move will take place during summer shut down. TDS will be the first logistics service provider to locate its business directly within the Audi complex in Brussels.

“We are convinced that the automotive industry has a strong future in Belgium over the long term. It is our strategic objective to continuously support our Belgian customers in improving efficiency and cost structures.  Following the recent launch success of our new Ford Mondeo business at TDS’ inbound operation in Genk, we are also very proud to now become the first logistics service provider within the Audi Brussels facility”, stated Stephan Kratzer, Vice President Business Development Europe.
