1941:

 

Livingston Export Packaging Company founded,
shipping and packing automotive parts.

1943:


The Company moved to Tillsonburg, Ontario.

1957:


In July 1 millionth export box shipped.

1978:


U.S. operations commence in Jacksonville, Florida.

1986:


A management led buy out formed TDS
(Total Distribution Systems).

1993:


CKD operations commenced in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

1997:


CKD operations commenced in Genk Europe.

2000:


CKD operations commenced in India.

In October 1 millionth vehicle exported by TDS for customer General Motors

Acquired Mackie Automotive Systems (MAS):

  • Integration of 13 plants and 2,000 employees into TDS
  • Expanded scope to a broader platform with more talent & diversity
  • Increased business leverage and service offerings

Acquired Tri-Flex Industries (United States):

  • Initiated Minority Supplier Certification for TDS/US

Established TDS China:

  • Representative office based in Shanghai Free-Trade Zone
  • Establishing new business opportunities in the Asia/Pacific Region
2004:TDS purchased by private equity firm Yucaipa

2005:

Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) supply logistics division launched in US
