TDS begins export packing A4 in Ingolstadt |

02/10/2004 – HASSELT, Belgium, Europe New Contract Signed The contract for TDS to perform CKD packing of the AUDI A4 was signed in ceremonial fashion at the new TDS facility in Ingolstadt, Germany yesterday. With the oiling machine as fitting a backdrop; Michael Neumann, TDS Executive Vice President Business Development, and Dr. Ernst-Hermann Krog, AUDI Executive Director Logistics, signed the 5 year contract, which will last through the end of 2008. 
In Ingolstadt TDS renders oiling and export packing service of A4 body metal parts for AUDI. The primary service is the conservation of parts for their protection against corrosion during transportation to China. Additionally, TDS is responsible for stuffing and loading both TDS cases, and those from the AUDI CKD department located in the same facility, into sea containers. The packed parts are then shipped to Changchun, China where the AUDI A4 and A6 are built for the Chinese market. After 3 months of operation, TDS Ingolstadt is already nearing full volume, and reaching 100% service and quality to the customer.
