Second TDS facility launched in Windsor |

01/09/2004 – WINDSOR, Ontario, Canada TDS launched a new facility recently in Windsor, Ontario to provide further inbound logistics services to Chrysler. Officially starting operations on November 10th, 2003, this facility is the second for TDS in Windsor. Running on 3 shifts the location is dedicated to providing commodity sequencing services and bulk part metering supporting a production schedule of over 300,000 vehicles a year. Under the terms of this 5 year contract TDS will be sequencing body-side moldings, carpets and quarter-trim panels for the Chrysler Pacifica, Dodge Caravan and Chrysler Towne & Country TDS’ first Windsor location began operations in 2002; comprised of an Integrated Logistics Centre providing Chrysler parts metering and container management services. Last year Chrysler Group Supply Organization acknowledged their appreciation to TDS for outstanding performance and total commitment in support of the Windsor Assembly Complex. TDS plant manager, Chris Merz stated, “All of the TDS employees in Windsor have worked extremely hard to make this operation successful for both TDS and for our customer [Chrysler]. We have prided ourselves in the delivery of service excellence and I am confident that this ongoing dedication will ensure an equal level of success with our new Windsor plant”.
